ISLAND GETAWAYS, LLC TERMS & CONDITIONS
INITIAL PAYMENT – Initial payment is due at the time of booking. Payment must include the Rental Fee, Administrative Fee, and Travel Damage Protection (mandatory). Payments are accepted via Debit, MasterCard, Discover, VISA, or AmEx.
E-checks are accepted only if received at least 30 days before check-in.
If initial payment is not received by the due date, the reservation may be cancelled without notice.
FINAL PAYMENT – Full payment, including all taxes and applicable fees, is required at least 30 days before arrival. Keys will not be issued until the signed rental agreement and final payment are received.
Booking Fee: A 3% booking fee applies. This fee will be waived or refunded if payment is made by e-check.
Returned e-Checks: A $40 service fee applies to all returned e-checks. It is the Guest’s responsibility to ensure Island Getaways, LLC has current contact information, including mailing address.
ADMINISTRATIVE FEE – There is a non-refundable administrative fee included in your reservation charges.
VACATION RENTAL DAMAGE PROTECTION – All guests are required to purchase a $29 Damage Protection Policy through Rental Guardian.
This policy covers unintentional damage to the interior of the rental property up to a maximum of $3,000, provided the damage is reported by the Guest when it occurs.
Accidental damage is defined as interior damage that occurs during the Guest’s stay without intentional, willful, or negligent action by the Guest or any member of their party.
Damage that is not reported, or damage caused by intent, carelessness, neglect, or similar circumstances, is not covered or exceeding $3000 will be the responsibility of Guest. Guests agree to pay all charges without dispute.
Items not covered under this plan include, but are not limited to extra cleaning charges, failure to follow check-out procedures, smoking, pest or flea infestations, excess trash charges, or similar issues.
Failure to pay may result in further action at Guest’s expense.
CANCELLATION AND DATE CHANGE POLICY – All cancellations or requests to change dates must be submitted in writing via email to igetaway@igetaway.net.
Refunds are only issued if the property is rebooked at the same rental rate.
Refunds will be reduced by the following: $100 Cancellation Fee, any Purchased Insurance, Booking Fees, and Administrative Fees
Changes to dates or properties are subject to the same cancellation policy.
Method of Refund: Refunds, after deducting applicable fees, will be issued through the same method of payment used for the original reservation.
CHECK-IN PROCEDURES – Check-in is after 3:30 p.m.
Arrivals after 5:00 p.m., no notification is required. Keys and directions will be available in the Island Getaways, LLC key box.
CHECK-OUT PROCEDURES – Check-out time is 10:00 a.m.
Late check-outs will be charged $25 per hour and billed to the credit card on file.
House must be vacated no later than 10:00 a.m.
Guests are responsible for leaving the property in good order, clean, and broom swept. Guests must adhere to check-out procedures that are outlined on the check-out list located at the property.
Failure to comply may result in additional cleaning or damage charges.
OCCUPANCY – Guest shall not occupy the rental property at any time, day or night, with more guests than the maximum occupancy listed. This includes all children, regardless of age.
Guests may not assign or sublet the rental property.
No house parties, large gatherings, or events of any kind are permitted.
Guests shall not leave minor children unattended at the rental property.
Guests grants Island Getaways, LLC and authorized personnel permission to enter the premises at any time, without prior notice, for inspection, maintenance, or repair.
All signers of this agreement represent and guarantee the following:
- The principal Guest executing this agreement is over the age of 25, and all co-guests are over the age of 18.
- No house parties or large gatherings will occur on the property.
Any violation of occupancy rules may result in immediate eviction without refund.
PETS – Pets are not allowed unless the property is pet-friendly, the pet is approved, and the required pet fee is paid.
Guests are responsible for any damage, cleaning, and pest treatment related to pets.
Pets must be housebroken, current on vaccinations, crated if left alone, and leashed when outside.
Pets are not permitted on furniture.
If a pet becomes a nuisance, Island Getaways, LLC reserves the right to require removal of the pet or evict the Guest without refund.
All pet fees are non-refundable.
HOUSE RULES – Rearranging furniture is not permitted.
Grills are not permitted on decks, porches, or near the house and must not be left unattended.
Fireworks are not permitted anywhere on the property. Evidence or reports of fireworks may result in a $250 fine.
Campers, motor homes, recreational vehicles, tents, portable pools, or similar items are not permitted at the rental property at any time.
POOLS, HOT TUBS, DOCKS, AND ADDITIONAL AMENITIES ASSUMPTION OF RISK – Guests acknowledge and agree that use of the pool and/or hot tub is at their own risk. No diving is permitted. This waiver of liability includes, but is not limited to, accidents, injuries of any kind, chemical reactions, skin rashes, sensitivities, illness, loss, or death.
No lifeguard is on duty at any time. The Guest named on this agreement is responsible for informing all members of the rental party of these conditions and risks.
Use of the pool and/or hot tub is limited solely to registered guests occupying the rental unit. If any non-registered individuals are found using the pool and/or hot tub, is subject to immediate eviction without notice, and no refunds will be issued.
Island Getaways, LLC has no control over pool and/or hot tub maintenance, operations, regulations, or closures. No refunds or discounts will be provided.
If the property has a dock, pier, kayaks, canoes, bicycles, or other amenities, all such items are used at Guest’s own risk and subject to availability at discretion of The Owner or Agent, no refunds or discounts will be provided.
Swimming from docks or piers is not recommended and is always at your own risk.
Boat dockage and dock space may be limited, shared, or unavailable and are not guaranteed.
Use at Your Own Risk: All extra amenities such as bicycles, kayaks, canoes, golf carts, beach chairs, umbrellas, crab pots, baby gates, cribs, highchairs, grills, swings, or playground equipment are provided for convenience only. The Owner and Agent make no guarantees as to condition, availability, or safety and accept no liability for injury, loss, or death.
SERVICE CALLS – If any system, appliance, or utility is inoperable, Guest must contact Island Getaways, LLC immediately for safety, maintenance, and repair. While we do our best to guarantee these items, outages, repairs, or maintenance do not qualify for refunds.
Guests are not permitted to contact vendors or third parties. Any unauthorized service calls will be the sole responsibility of the Guest.
If a service call is requested and determined unnecessary or caused by Guest error, Guest will be responsible for all charges.
The after-hours emergency number is included in the after-hours voicemail and is for urgent matters only, such as water leaks or lockouts. Non-emergency after-hours calls will incur a minimum charge of $50 per call.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / LIABILITY – Rental property amenities are subject to change without notice.
Each property is furnished according to the Owner’s preferences and is not subject to Guest approval at check-in.
Island Getaways, LLC and the Owner assume no responsibility or liability for accident, injury, sickness, loss, or death.
Guest agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Owner and Island Getaways, LLC, from any liability or litigation arising from Guest’s stay.
GENERAL INFORMATION – Units have full kitchens with cookware and utensils. Guests must bring bed sheets, pillowcases, and towels. Rental linens are available for an additional charge.
Keys not returned at check-out will incur a $25 fee plus applicable Virginia sales tax.
INTERNET, TELEVISION, AND UTILITIES – There is no guarantee of appliance operation, television service, or internet availability. Outages, repairs, or maintenance do not qualify for refunds.
SUBSTITUTE ACCOMMODATIONS AND SEVERE WEATHER – If a unit becomes unavailable due to sales or unforeseen circumstances, Island Getaways LLC may relocate the Guest or refund payments minus travel insurance.
No refunds are issued for weather-related events. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
OWNER CLOSETS AND PERSONAL ITEMS – Locked closets, rooms, and personal items are not accessible to Guests. Unauthorized entry will result in a $250 charge plus the cost of any missing or damaged items.
LOST AND FOUND – Island Getaways, LLC is not responsible for items left behind. If items are returned, postage plus a $25 service fee will apply.
We strive for 100% accuracy in all rates and website content; however, errors may occasionally occur. We reserve the right to make changes or corrections at any time without notice. Rates and availability are subject to change. Property amenities are advertised to the best of our knowledge, and we cannot be responsible for changes made by property owners.
